Moribaya is a group with an international line-up of artists from Poland, Australia, Burkina Faso and Ukraine, who share a passion for roots music from West Africa.
This shared passion gave life to this multicultural band, which exudes extraordinary energy and joy during their live concerts. Over more than 6 years, they’ve gained recognition in the Polish ethnic music and world music scene. Their energetic drums and masterful balafons take listeners on an emotional journey to the roots of African rhythm. Moribaya’s repertoire is inspired by traditional music from West Africa: Burkina Faso, Guinea, Mali, Ivory Coast. The band presents these traditional melodies and rhythmic patterns in their original arrangements and compositions in the spirit of tradition.
