The outstanding English violinist, Nigel Kennedy, alongside his ensemble, will showcase the program “Spiritual Connection” – a retrospective project in which Kennedy presents a spectrum of his favorite music as well as his own compositions!
Nigel Kennedy is a figure who has gained fame over the years as an incredibly versatile and unconventional violinist, introducing a revolutionary approach to classical music and jazz. His musical achievements are like a colorful palette of sounds, permeating various musical genres, creating unique tones. Born in 1956 in the United Kingdom, Kennedy has gained international renown as a master violinist, blending elements of jazz, rock, and classical music in his performances. His exploration of diverse musical styles has made him an icon breaking conventions and introducing a fresh perspective on interpreting music.

His debut album, “Nigel Kennedy Plays Jazz” released in 1984, opened doors to the jazz world in a way that had been extremely rare for classical musicians. It was a moment when his extraordinary talent and innovation began to be noticed.
However, it’s not just jazz that made Kennedy known worldwide. His interpretations of classical masters such as Bach, Beethoven, and Vivaldi, stir admiration among audiences from different musical circles. His unique approach to interpreting classical pieces, combining the depth of tradition with a modern perspective, has earned recognition from critics and music fans.
Nigel Kennedy is regarded as one of the most outstanding living violinists. His artistic endeavors, merging the worlds of classical, jazz, rock, and popular music, place him among the most important global creators, reflecting the current trends of blending different styles. He studied, among others, under Yehudi Menuhin and collaborated with Stéphane Grappelli. He recorded the best-selling classical album, including Vivaldi’s Four Seasons (2 million copies sold). He has been performing for over 40 years in the most prestigious and internationally renowned concert halls.
During the events, we will see the band composed of: Nigel Kennedy on violin and at the piano keys, Beata Urbanek-Kalinowska on cello, Rolf Bussalb on guitar, Piotr Kułakowski on double bass, and Sławomir Berny, who will play percussion and percussion instruments.
